About Us

A&G Engineering was founded by Ron Potter at Griffith, New South Wales, in 1963 to produce stainless steel vessels for the Riverina wine industry.

A reputation for product excellence and innovation resulted in the company quickly establishing itself as the preferred supplier for wineries across Australia.

A&G pioneered new vessel technologies such as the Potter red wine fermenter and large-scale rotary fermenter, which soon became the industry standard.

Today the company employs more than 200 people in three states.

Growing demand for our products led to the opening of a new manufacturing facility at Irymple in Victoria's Sunraysia region in 1997, followed by another plant at Angaston in South Australia's Barossa Valley.

While the wine industry continues to be a major focus of A&G - we recently constructed 88 x 1.1 million litre vessels for a huge tank farm at Casella Wines in New South Wales - the company now designs and manufactures vessels for most industries.

The quality and integrity of our work has been recognised at the highest level. A&G is a previous winner of the prestigious Australian Museum's Eureka Prize for Industry and was named the Welding Technology Institute of Australia's Company of the Year in 2002.
